Byron Days at the Farmers Market

2017 marked the 81st year celebrating Byron Days! On Saturday, July 29 our BC Farmers Market welcomed hundreds of community members to the luscious lawn next to the post office to help celebrate and join in the festivities.

Local musician Wesley Rykse came out and provided an entertaining atmosphere by enticing the crowd with the sweet sounds of acoustic music. He played cover songs by artists such as Bob Segar, Alabama, Leonard Cohen, The Barenaked Ladies and many more from 9am-12:30pm.

We also brought back the ever popular Kids Day at the Market! We had face painting for kids free of charge from 10am-1pm. Four creative and talented young ladies came out and did an awesome job decorating the many faces of our local kids! Kids could also make their own stress balls or shakers using rice and balloons at the same station. They had an great time making their own creations!

The weekend consisted of many activities put on by the Byron Days Committee finishing off with an amazing fireworks display on Saturday night. Overall the community had a fun time celebrating the great town of Byron Center!
